Radiation pattern synthesis in conformal antenna arrays using modified convex optimization technique

چکیده
In this paper, a modified convex optimization technique is used for radiation pattern correction in cylindrical-shaped conformal microstrip array antenna. The uses numerical simulations to optimize the amplitude and phase excitations, with goal decrease Euclidean distance between desired field obtained (simulated/measured) while maintaining main beam direction, null's location, side lobe levels under control. Two prototypes of 1 × 4 $$ 1\times 2 2\times antenna deformed from linear/planar structure prescribed cylindrical shape, different radii curvature, are studied demonstrate performance proposed technique. model when applied possesses fast computing speed high convergence accuracy synthesis, which can be valuable tool engineering applications.
